This training is designed specifically for Child Welfare Specialists and supervisors who work with fatality cases. Participants will review child death / near death policy and procedures.
A representative from the law enforcement and mental health communities will present on their respective disciplines as it relates to child death investigations and/or secondary trauma. A child welfare nurse will present information related to investigating abusive head trauma and SIDS cases.
Intended Audience
Participation is limited to 40 participants who have been referred by their Supervisors and have completed CORE.
